3I did it. I ventured too far into the heat wastes and they have consumed me. What little feeling I had in my arms and legs is gone and my head has all but buckled under the weight of my bulbous eyeballs. All that I see now is the light. I'm so, so scared, but I tell myself that I needn't be. Not for long. Though I may have flown too close to the sun on wings of silicone, I know that soon I shall be with them. My brothers, my sisters. All who have walked this doomed path before me.
As I begin to fade, I steel myself and pull my bloated and twisted lips apart one final time. I can't even feel the pain as I tear open the melted remnants of my face that have fused together in the heat. Though my throat is dry, cracked and broken, I long to utter it one last time...
