The developer team was crazy about the Wizard vocation from Dungeons & Dragons – fascinated by casting and summoning spells, using elegant moves, and requiring mysterious knowledge. Designing a game without other heroes – but with the intent to demonstrate the fate of various mages – was the goal with Wizardlord.
