So I picked up the longsword today and its wild. (Work in progress) it has the highest skill ceiling of any weapon in the game currently. If you want to master the weapon, youre gonna need some practice and understanding of its recovery frames for the charge stabs. This is just a 2 hour video of me using it and getting better and better at it. This weapon saved DLC 2 for me from its otherwise stale parry cycle to masterfully zipping around from enemy to enemy laying everything to waste with precision. Its still a work in progress as I havent gotten to ng+++ yet, but I have a lot of ideas for the build around it, which arts to avoid and the range in which I have to work with. All I can say now is, use it and get good feel for the spacing, timing, cancelling etc. it will come in handy later when my vision is finalized and I can put it into words easier than just feeling it in my fingers.
