Wolfchild on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive is quite different to the other ports. You can choose stage type awarding a varied number of points, with a chance of bonus and extra appearing where you can gain more time and missiles. If the game is not going your way, you can spend your points on extra lives and missiles.

Conversions for the SNES, Sega CD/Mega CD, Sega Master System, Sega Game Gear and Commodore Amiga (for which it was one of the last titles released by a third-party developer)

I play on Ace difficulty which requires quite a high point count to end the game but the game can and does end sooner than that. There is a second boss/base ship to attack but it did not give me the opportunity to show it. There are ranks to climb through which offer higher point missions. I think (but not sure)

Rail shooter which gets more boring as the game goes on. Later levels just seem to drag the game out. The game stutters a lot which doesn't help your aiming when playing by a pad.
