So, what is Spear Resurrection 2011: 10th Anniversary Edition?!
Spear Resurrection: 10th Anniversary Edition is a mod for Spear of Destiny, made by AReyeP in collaboration with Andy Nonymous. It was released on October 31, 2011 and received a Dome post the following day.
23 levels feature in the set, two of which were made by ack. While MCS had no direct involvement in the set, his name is nevertheless acknowledged for coding the original set which was one of the most, if not the most groundbreaking mod(s) of all time.
Basically a map set for the original Spear Resurrection, the mod utilizes SDL with the help of Andy Nonymous, which include a greatly increased static object and actor limit, making for some viciously decorated levels.
Unlike the original Spear Resurrection, AReyeP used some precautions in his mapping, including not making secret areas too difficult to find, went easy on adding landmines, and the death artifacts of old were also scarcely put into use.
Initially well received, some people later lamented the design and the seemingly more directly easy approach to secret areas and the various new artifacts. The mod nevertheless still stands as one of AReyeP's prime successes of Wolfenstein 3D map making.
This is Played on the "Suicidal Tendencies" Difficulty with getting a 100% of Kills, Secrets, and Treasure.
