With most games that give you the option to quit your adventure, you have to save before doing so, (For example, Super Mario All Stars and Legend of Zelda games) but not with Wonder Boy In Monster World. To save the game, you have to pay an Inn to stay at for the night. You'll be given the option to save afterward, and after that, you're given the choice to continue your adventure or not; even if you didn't choose to save! You are effectively giving yourself Game Over, and the dialogue takes on an entirely new, sick meaning. Even fairies can become sinister.
