Tricks and advice :
Save your progression as often as possible and note down your Password carefully.
Any time you restart the game with a Password (which I never do) the chests will refill except those containing a Life Heart.
The chests always contain the same goodies, but those given by the enemies are random.
The enemies respawn any time you go back to their location. Take this as an advantage to make money or to get a special item.
The more money you collect the more items you can buy. Try to collect a maximum of Stones to increase your Charm Power.
Always buy a better equipment than the one you have. Some enemies can give you some of them !
Try to not be hurt to not waste money in the Hospitals and the Medicine Shop. Study the moves of the enemies, and the traps, to learn how to kill or dodge them safely. When the enemies hit you, they often give you Small Hearts to cure yourself (even Large Hearts and Medicine if you're lucky).
The bosses require a strategy to be killed without damage. First of all, prepare your equipment BEFORE you enter the room because you cannot open your inventory during a boss fight !!! Usually just stay at the entrance, 1st jump to dodge, 2nd smash in the nose and retreat, then repeat this pattern untill they die. It's just a question of timing your moves. As for the flamme, 1st jump over it to dodge it and time it to stand just under the pieces, then just jump to dodge the flamme while collecting the gold... Nonetheless some of them are really though to deal with if you want to collect all the pieces.
Don't go too fast and dismiss the enemies one by one. Don't let them surround you. Lure them in a safer place to get rid of them easily !
Anyway, note that you have more chances to be rewarded with a Stone if you are injured !
Look carefully every place that you visit and remember the locations where to return in another Form or to buy an item you could not afford before.
Some rooms are hidden !
Some equipment is only available if your stats and Form meet them. Some of them have a special ability (for example : trigger more Gold or Hearts, make you impervious to lava...).
Some weapons and armors work better with different Forms. Always put on the best equipment.
Obviously you do not have to kill all the enemies but some of them own the precious Key to go further.
