This is the first Amiga game Ive beaten. Never really fucked with the system as I never owned it. Now that I have a full emulation set up I plan to playthrough many games on these old computer systems. X68000, MSX, Amiga, PC98 and many more.
I have yet to explore those computer systems much, but this is one of my favorite games on Sega CD and probably one of the better games on Amiga from what Ive seen. The Sega CD one has sharper visuals and clearer music, a completely different soundtrack and also has sound effects and music. This game only has music, though I didnt go in the menus. Gameplay wise they are pretty much identical. Id reccomend the Sega CD version.
Easy game but it took some adjusting with using up to jump. This is a one button game , as all Amiga games seem to be. That fucked me up often while trying to land on small platforms. Especially since you have to hold up to float while moving left and right on the D-pad. Maybe in the future Ill use X-Padder to map the keyboard buttons to my saturn controller. Thats the controller I use most often for 2D games on emulation. Just got this shit set up so things arent optimised yet.
This was a great game that I beat on Sega CD around 24 years ago. Unsuccessful continues are edited out but deaths on successful continues are left in.
There is some very easy methods I used on the bosses. I provided time stamps for the bosses, for easy access. This took me longer than it should have due to having to use up to jump. A few hours. Maybe two or more.
All the runs I post here are completely legit with no cheating. You will see I use save state at some point in the video. The reason is that Amiga makes you put in the level password again when you die, switch to disk one to put it in, then switch back to disk two once its inputted, plus the loading screens. Its just a waste of time. I made sure I never started with more than the 2 lives it defaults you at. I even started one level with less life than it would have given me if I hadnt loaded the state. I will sometimes even allow states for skipping no risk farming in games since its a waste of time. Farming money or something like that when there is no risk involved. When skill isnt involved I consider it legit. I mostly use states for thorough practice before putting a game together but for some games like this its not needed. There is no physical disks on an emulator but the process is still similiar , only with files and entering menus mid game.
There are some easy exploits for bosses and enemies in the video, that should help anyone who is having issues. Eventually these videos should show some games that arent shown on youtube, full playthroughs, reviews etc. For the reviews I need to get commentary set up but there will be alot of content coming.
Stay tuned !!
