Figured I'd finally put some work into an idea that's been on the backburner for about a year, because other projects just kept winning out.

The concept is pretty straightforward: A magic mirror through which a player can summon all kinds of magical creatures onto the battlefield. From a practical standpoint this means a 3d-printed mirror frame, that can be inserted with a 3d-printed flat oval mirror surface.
The insert will come in many different variants featuring various creatures, and if you want the mirror to display a different type of creature you simply remove one insert and replace it with another.
I've still only made some rough sketches, like the one pictured that obviously needs a little bit of work.
The big challenge (assuming I don't decide to go with a simpler solution) will be to design each creature insert in a way that artfully acts as a support for the entire model kit - if you look at the beastmen spilling out of the mirror in the picture for example, you'll see that in the latter version the mirror is actually supported by the beastman that has touched ground. His comrades are physically joined to him in an unbroken chain all the way up to the mirror surface. If I do other creatures, like, say, a dragon, I might solve this issue by having a long serpentine dragon neck poking out of the mirror and sort of coiling to the ground. And so on. Going to be difficult, but probably fun.

The finished products will probably be sold in an "add-on" fashion - you purchase the mirror frame model, and then you buy whatever creature insert models you want separately.
