Work update: Chaos Flea
Guess "Chaos Flea" is as good a name as any.
Anyway: The Chaos Flea mount is nearing completion.
Need to do a once-over of the "feet" and the back end.
And finish the mouth section - the final model will *probably* have a proboscis.
And possibly make some adjustments to the saddle to make it more chaos-y.
Can't use any Warhammer symbols like the mark of Khorne or the three rings of Nurgle (since GW is guaranteed to DMCA the model kit into literal oblivion if I publish it using their IP). Going with the Moorcockian symbol of chaos instead, since Moorcok seems more cool about these things.
The legs are posable, though only at the thorax point. I'll probably solve that issue by drawing and including a couple of different leg models, with the second and third phalanges(?) bent differently. I'll probably do the same with the thorax and head - won't make those sections posable, but I'll include a couple of different preposed versions. The model has potential for significantly more dynamic poses than the static one pictured here.
Speaking of, this little video turntable shows the flea with a rider. I was just toying around with the model and decided to plonk a knight onto it for the sake of the video. The knight will not be included in the final release.
