The coal power plant is up and running so I can now start exporting power and generating a bit of income. Exporting oil is another possibility, so I turn my attention to getting the basic pumping infrastructure constructed. The population of my small town continues to expand, increasing the demand for childcare, but a few swings and a climbing frame should cater to that.

Diving into a run through the new Realistic mode in version 0.8.8.15 of Workers & Resources and thought I’d share the pain. Starting in 1960 on the Taiga Special Edition – Added Improved Customs map my task is to create my own republic, with planned economy and everything controlled by my government, and transform a poor country into a rich industrial superpower!
