Christian introduces Andrew to World of Final Fantasy, the latest turn-based combat game that combines nostalgia of everything Final Fantasy and the creature capturing of Pokémon and Digimon. In this video we take a look at the art style, game play and mechanics that makes WoFF an incredibly enjoyable game. I think we won him over! ....maybe.

Andrew's knowledge of Final Fantasy basically starts and ends with Final Fantasy 7, so naturally he (rightfully) assumes everyone is Cloud. We begin his introduction to World of Final Fantasy by learning the stacking mechanics of the game in Pyreglow Forest. The player characters can stack with two creatures to become more powerful and unstack to take more turns and use different moves. Likewise, enemies can stack and you have to ability to unstack them in combat to stun them and deal more damage.

World of Final Fantasy also takes some cues from the world of Pokémon (or maybe Digimon) by allowing you to battle monsters and capture them to join your team. Monsters very in size to take the position of large, medium and small parts of the stack. Additionally, player characters can turn into smaller, chibi versions to change their stack size order to create new dynamics.

The video ends when we run into Yuna from FFX. She summons Valefor for our first boss battle and introduction to enemy stacking mechanics.
