🌌 World of Warcraft: Night Elf Idle Animation - Unreal Engine 5 🎮

I have been getting back into World of Warcraft lately, more specifically Season of Discovery and after finding a really cool character rig online that was in a similar style to WoW's models I wanted to start creating some fan animations centered around more game focused content. Starting with a simple idle animation based on the World of Warcraft Night Elves.
The rig is called "Wood Elf" and was made by Kiel Figgins. I was super impressed with how well designed and rigged this model was, and honestly it was a big part of why I was inspired to do this in the first place. I cant wait to make more animations using this rig and possibly with more from Kiel Figgins. I will link his site below for anyone interested, the rigs do cost money but are reasonably priced and he even has some free rigs as well to try out!
Using Autodesk Maya for the animation and Unreal Engine 5 for the background, particle effects and post processing/rendering. I crafted a scene that hopefully echo's the world of Azeroth, especially areas like Ashenvale or Darnassus with the Kaldorei. I really enjoyed experimenting with Unreal Engine's game design-centric features like the Niagra system for particle effects and I cant wait to practice more complex animations and scenes within the realm of game design animation in Maya and Unreal 5.
Although its a simple scene I'm happy with the results and look forward to creating some more complex animations with multiple characters following this one! Until next time I'll see you guys on SOD Phase 2!
