⚔️ Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Fan Animation - Unreal Engine 5 ⌛

Hey everyone! I've been working on diversifying my animation practice, so I decided to dive back into 3D animation using Maya and Unreal Engine 5. In this video, I've created a fan animation inspired by Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild, all animated in Autodesk Maya and Unreal Engine 5! I have experience using Maya before so I wanted to come back to it and see if I could make something similar to my Wind Waker animation but in Maya and Unreal using the popular Link rig.

Animation was primarily done in Autodesk Maya then ported over into Unreal Engine 5 where I added in a background, lighting and particle effects. For the background I was able to make it thanks to the help of the "So Stylized" asset pack on the Unreal Marketplace which I will link below!

I'm really happy with how this turned out, it was super fun but I definitely want to practice more and try some more complex scenes with multiple characters, along with testing out more complex features in Unreal Engine. Unreal is such a useful tool, renders take 30 seconds to complete instead of the 2 hours it would take in Maya which is a game changer. Highly recommend playing around with it if you are interested at all.

I also want to continue another hand drawn animation idea I have in a similar vein to my One Piece fan animation!
