In short, it can be tricky to play but rewarding if played carefully. It has better speed and altitude performance than typical Japanese planes in the game, but it still doesn't play as well at high altitudes as its German and American counterparts. You'll need to play it like a hybrid -- know what planes you can turn on, and what planes to cut and run on.
And although the Ki-88 it has great firepower when you manage to score hits, disappointing accuracy and rate of fire combined with fast overheat time can make marksmanship a challenge. Align your wings to your targets and aim carefully.
But with a little smarts and practice it can perform well and be very rewarding. I banked 78k credits in this game!
