For 2019, I thought I would go back to basics with the ship class I enjoy the most: the Destroyer; discussing the roles the class can fulfill in World of Warships.
Today, I focus on the role of contesting objectives, as showcased in a Tier V Domination match on the map Solomon Islands in which I am sailing out in the Wakeful (Tier IV British Destroyer).
In analysing the gameplay, I shall be focusing on the following discussion points in particular:
1. Avoiding overcommitting – In contesting each objective, I aim to assess the enemy’s applicable strength, and give myself viable options in dealing with it including withdrawing
2. Multiple applications of smoke – I intend to use the Wakeful’s fast-charging, fast-diffusing smoke screens for a variety of purposes to assist in capturing the objectives
