Harold Brown was born with a non-functional left hand due to a complicated pregnancy, and as a child, he never received the physical therapy he needed to regain movement. As a result, he began getting into fights, selling drugs, and embarking on a life of crime. He spent decades in prison, where he learned the craft of barbering. After getting out of jail for the last time, Harold returns to his old neighborhood and starts a new life as the 'best one-armed barber in the world.'
