WOTC's new D&D OGL statement concedes nothing. The survey is a delay tactic + diversion tactic.

As Drew_585 said on my server: "Not a good first step. It's a better trap."
The survey is a delay tactic to try to buy time. THEY ALREADY KNOW OUR FEEDBACK: DON'T REVOKE THE OGL. And it is a diversion tactic: "direct your comments into a space that we control and we can spin the results."
AND it is us winning more time! More time to develop the ORC License, for third-party publishers to transition, for players and GMs to turn up the heat!
WOTC, while conceding nothing in this statement, is putting it out to cool the anger: it shows the strength of the united TTRPG community in canceling their D&D Beyond subscriptions and declaring they will no longer be subject to WOTC's dictates by uniting around publishers who will work under the Open RPG Creative License (ORC). They must resort to trying to convince us to cool our activity, because OUR ACTIVITY CAN FORCE THEIR HAND.
