Back a million years before the dread ILevel craze of World of Warcraft, players did things like manage there stats and be Gods in different ways, people built there classes around these stats and had more investment in there class IMO. Here are the stats in the game you might want to take into consideration when your selecting your character.

str: increases attack power with melee weapons/
agi: increases attack power with a ranged weapon, chance to crit, increases armor and chance to dodge
stam: increases hp
int: increases mana and chance to score a crit hit with spells, increases the rate at which your weapon skills level up
spirit: increases health and mana regen
armor: keeps the ouchies away

And then consider your resistance because you dont want to be caught in Molten Core with all that lava and get your face turned to Freddy Krueger cause your walking in there with 0 fire resistance.

arcane: spell casters
fire: molton core, lava baths, fire spells
nature: druids, poison, dire maul
frost: ice spells
shadow: blasted shadow priest
