This is the first episode of Project XIV where I as a long time player and short time commentator for World of Warcraft take a less emotional and more analytical approach to comparisons between WoW and Final Fantasy XIV Online.
It's premature to try comparing FFXIV to World of Warcraft without a lot of playtime. I'll take my time to appreciate and give my critiques on FFXIV against WoW. We begin with what I have the most hands on experience with, and that's playing through the story. How is it delivered? What experience does it draw from? And how well does it immerse me as a player?
