I originally got WR in this game on emulator in mid 2021, beating the previous run (also on emulator) by 8 seconds due to slightly more optimized gameplay and a couple minor strat differences. A runner named Polonxy took WR for himself under a month later, using flashcart on 3DS and double styluses to type much more fluidly than using a mouse. At around this time I made a discovery that shaved a significant amount of time (up to 2 minutes) from the route. However, I never got WR back despite improving my own PB, and I assumed this was due to my own shift to console using an official cartridge, thereby putting me at a slight disadvantage compared to flashcart. I was demotivated for the 2.5 years since Polonxy's most recent Any% run in July 2021, but today I thought up another reroute that could potentially save time. I decided to see how close I could get to his time while beating my PB (which was 13:30 as of July 2021), and quickly realized this route is simply better than the old one.

The route change is that I farmed money in A3-2, which is worth a decent bit more than P3-1 due to the higher par (around 400 more Ollars, in this case meaning you end up playing this level about 3/4 as many times as the other one), and also is quicker to beat since you don't have to use the notebook at all. I was originally uncertain if it would be worth it since you have to beat A3-1 in order to unlock A3-2, but I suppose it's still fast enough that any timeloss is outweighed by the faster farming. This run is still improvable by several seconds due to a couple typing mistakes and slow starite grabs in A1-1, but the run is not very interesting for me so I will leave it alone for now.
