61Wraithstorm has reformed... with a new twist!
Longtime collaborators and friends Lux Edwards (Soulmass, Ex-Seven Kingdoms) and Alicia Cordisco (Transgressive, Ex-Judicator) along with producer/drummer Michael Goodrich had hung the funeral doom project up after the sole debut album 'Unseen and Unfound' in 2022.
In the years since they have been working on a melodeath album titled 'Revenant' while adding Leona Hayward (Transgressive, Owlbear, Rope, etc) to the lineup on bass guitar
Feeling despite the genre change that the band's name, logo, art direction and general themes were fitting, in lieu of adding yet another project name to their long list of credits, the band has decided to continue Wraithstorm in a new direction.
'Revenant' is a ten song classic melodic death metal journey through death and how we deal with it. The album will release later in 2025. The band presents the first single and visualizer/lyric video for 'Uniformity' to give everyone a taste of what is coming. The song reflects on the hopelessness of living under fascism and capitalism by retelling the thematically dense and thrilling Season 1 of the television show 'Squid Game'
