Yeah, connecting WotC to TTRPGs... but not via DnD 5E? What madness is this? Today I look at an old "Making Magic" from 14 years ago back when Alara was the block du jour.

Here Mark Rosewater(aka MaRo) talks about the thought processes he went through designing the version of Nicol Bolas he used in Alara. It's an interesting take on character design. It's not really from a TTRPG standpoint, but makes for interesting food for thought.
