5Everyone can be funny on a whim and most people can recognize something as funny or something as not. The laughter is innate. There is however not very good explanations out there for how to intentionally write a funny story. The problem is that it's a huge subject. In this video I'm just touching on incongruity between expectation and actuality but I'll be back with more specific discussions in the future. I touch on Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, and Konosuba.
