Some friends and I recently fired up the Alpha version of Unreal Tournament that was in production in 2016/2017 and abandoned by EPIC to focus all attention on the continued development of Fortnite. That move was bad news to fans of the UT series, which have always been solid and fun deathmatch games.

This round we played was "Instagib" (one hit kills with railgun-style weapons only) and it's pretty chaotic. The character models and movements are a little janky and the game certainly looks as unfinished as it is, but it's still good for a few laughs every once in awhile.
