The final member of Le Femme Fatale, the leader of the group, the reigning Women's champion and the very last female CAW to make her grace inside the ring, faces her toughest challenge to date: a 7-time Women's champion in front of her hometown crowd.
Francoise Dubios Petit had unified both the Diva's and Women's championship. She was part of a popular all-female group, Le Femme Fatale, who had just gained a new member. But trouble was brewing and it wasn't in the form of their bitter rivals Glamazoness. It was in the form of Trish Stratus. The legendary women's wrestler of the WWF secretly paid Kharma to take out all 4 of Francoise's friends just so it would be easier for her to take the Women's title from the champion. Well the best laid plans don't usually work out so well as Trish had to go through obstacle after obstacle to even get anywhere near title contention, including stealing a Money In The Bank contract (which she lost) and having 4 angry European women 'stomp a mudhole in her and walk it dry.' Sure enough, through trickery, she found herself in title contention and won an opportunity to face Francoise with the title on the line......or so she thought.
Le Femme Fatale was back stronger than ever, and also in secret, saw to it that Trish had a clear path to face Francoise for the Women's title. While that may sound like a dumb move for a faction to do, it served a purpose. Francoise knew that Trish had a big ego so she figured that she had help having to face her would upset her. Also, Francoise made a vow to make Trish bare witness to her worst nightmare: losing to a more superior woman in front of 67, 000 of her own people.
It's the past vs the present for the coveted WWE Women's championship......with a little change of scenery if you will for this match in particular.
