5During the summer of 2009 CM Punk and Jeff Hardy were embroiled in an intense rivalry over the World Heavyweight Championship.
Punk cashed his Money in the Bank briefcase in on Hardy at Extreme Rules after Jeff had just beaten Edge for it. There were more title matches involving the 2 with Punk always managing to hang onto the belt somehow, but finally at Night of Champions in July - Jeff Hardy finally won his championship back.
Going into Summerslam the stakes were raised with Punk getting his rematch, although the stipulation added heavily favoured Jeff with it being a TLC (Tables, Ladders & Chairs) match. A match which The Charismatic Enigma had helped make famous. Punk had never competed in one of these matches.
Would CM Punk gain back his title? Or would Jeff Hardy be able to successfully defend 'Big Gold'?
