X-COM to XCOM: 20 Years of Turn-Based Strategy, Alien-Killing, and DREAD VIDEO
During GDC, we asked Julian Gollop - designer of 1994's X-COM: UFO Defense - and Jake Solomon - designer of 2012's XCOM: Enemy Unknown - to get together and talk to us about the franchise. Learn how the original X-COM came together, how the game's publisher wanted to change the game, and how Firaxis took on the task of modernizing the game's terrifying choices and consequences.
This was also Jake's first time meeting his design idol, so excuse the nerves, and embrace the cuteness.
