So this is what I typically think of when it comes to the beatum up formula. If you're going anywhere near the bottom, it's a bad time. Stay to the upper parts and poke, you can mess the bosses up pretty good. That was one of the first things I tested when going into this. Which character doesn't have an awful melee attack. Storm and Dazzler seemed to be the top picks for this, though dazzler if coming from below has an awful kick attack.

Part that actually makes this hard is that most of the enemies have long range attacks and you're invested when you attack something, so you need to be clear the entire time, have them close enough to not initiate ranged, or you knocked them to the ground. Most specials were useful to group them up and wipe them out before they're a problem.

Poking is a pretty good idea to do. Sometimes you can combo the bosses fine, depending on who they are, but two of them grapple from absurd distances and sometimes, even on the ones you think are for certain, the game will just decide your attack doesn't land anymore, then you take like 3 bars of damage. Magneto was especially annoying about this when doing his taunt.

Bosses are surprisingly easy if you go for the poke route, I think most peopel should be capable of surviving the life, if not just straight up no hitting them. Magneto is a bit different since you can get caught up on the corners and his hitbox seems finicky at times. Goal was under 20 deaths, but I think I might have gotten around 10.

This is a pretty nostalgic game for me, but honestly, especially when it came to this game, all it really was on xbox was special spam abuse like no other. Which is probably the easiest way to get the 25 minute achievement it had. Spam spam spam, die, repeat. Product of its time, Normal and Hard might be no continued, but Expert would be quite a feat indeed.
