0X-Out is a 1989 horizontal scrolling shooter set underwater. It was released by Rainbow Arts. Before starting the game and between levels, you visit a shop and use your game score to purchase new submarines and equipment. The submarines come in four different variants. Secondary weapons include sonic waves, power-shots and target-seeking missiles. Through five levels, you shoot countless enemies, mid-level and end-level bosses.
