This video shows “X Plane 11” flight simulator running on AMD AM3 x2 3.4Ghz CPU, ASUS M5A78L - M - USB3 Motherboard, 16GB Kingston DDR3, AMD Radeon HD 7850 GPU 2GB GDDR5, 320WD HDD.

There are many cool streamers out there who show and showcase their cool X Plane 11 and MFS flights etc. Many of them are really great and wonderful people. There are also people out there who love the Flight Sims for different reasons and purposes such gaining cool experience, following their interest, learning, practicing, fun and more. Unfortunately the nature of the software isn’t very kind as it demands expensive hardware. Many of us simply can’t afford PC which will operate this type of sim.

But for what it's worth recently I’ve build PC from parts I've purchased for $40 it was a bulk junk buy for one purpose only – to check what would happen if I would try to run X Plane 11 on $40 pc. The video above is the answer. It didn’t happened straight away. At first I couldn’t even activate the Microsoft Windows. Once the sim was on the system it would reboot 3 times in the row. After trying different software it became stable. Taxing and fuel trucks sometimes slow down, all is needed is to change the view camera few times. Scenery tiles are visible now and then. Nothing I haven’t seen with the Mighty i7. But at least you can get the feel of it, fly from A to B :-)) !

Once during online stream which I was watching a person who was also watching said to the streamer in chat, “I can’t afford to buy computer like yours, I will not be able to purchase PC with half your specs in the next two years but I would love to try X plane 11 it’s so cool. Can you suggest anything? ” The host wasn’t very helpful saying “Dude stop bothering me, my life is about being serious; I think you’re in the wrong place if you can’t grab the bull by the horns”. Easy said. Sometimes it’s not the easiest thing to do especially if a person might be in a wheelchair or being stranded otherwise. I hope that my video is at least positively thought provoking if not helpful.

(Please do not try to buy the same pc parts which I used in this experiment, it worked for me but it may not work for you. If you can get more advanced parts for the same price or for few dollars more please do so)
