This is a tutorial on how to micromanage your fleet subordinates in a military encounter in-sector in X4: Foundations, this include drones however I have omitted one part is that with drone carriers (I personally designated Fleet Auxiliary Ships as Drone Carriers), you need to set the drone behaviours in "Escort" and Arm/Disarm them to launch/dock them, sometimes needs a few tries before they acknowledges the launch command. Other than that, command is all the same.

Major difference between drones and fighters:
-Drones that lost in fight can be restocked by transferring them from M-sized Drone Ships directly to the Aux ship, so there's no need to go to equipment dock or shipyard.

-Drones also repair themselves when they dock, unlike fighters, where you have to go through the usual resupply/repair process.

-Drones cannot be fitted with anything else other than their default pulse laser.

-Drones does not need to be manned by crews
