4Xardion for the SNES is one of those games that most people never heard of. I heard of it, as I owned the game as a kid, and played it like crazy. Xardion is a Giant robot action game that came out for the SNES. Imagine if Contra was much, much slower, and you were a giant clunky robot instead of a buff hunk. Thats this game basically.
I used to love Xardion as a kid, and played so much of it, I learned where all the secrets were. For example, you could actually play the entire game with the 3 robots you start the game as, OR you could find a completely optional secret that lets on of your robots die, and get replaced with the super awesome Xardion! Spoiler, he is way better than any of the other robots. The fact that the actual Xardion robot from the game box was a secret character blew my mind as a kid, and is still pretty cool to this day.
Unfortunately, in this Xardion Gameplay video for the SNES we don't even get past the first stage let alone far enough to find the hidden secret that lets you play as Xardion. Oh well, my skills have eroded I guess.
Either way, this Xardion Gameplay video shows the first stage, and is still a pretty fun trip down memory lane.
