XBOX GAME PASS subscribers have even more great games to look forward to this month, with a whole host of new titles heading to the service in January 2022.

Xbox Game Pass is kicking off 2022 with a jam-packed January line-up. It's already been confirmed that high-profile titles Rainbox Six Extraction and the Hitman Trilogy will be launching on Xbox Game Pass on Day One this month. And on a day of huge Xbox news Series X and S owners have even more reasons to smile as Microsoft has today (Tuesday January 18) revealed some new games heading to Xbox Game Pass in January 2022.

As revealed in the latest post on the Xbox Wire, the critically acclaimed Death's Door will be out on XGP on January 20, while Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition - which previously wasn't announced for the Xbox - is out now.

Trigger Happy Havoc is the first game in Spike Chunsoft's cult Danganronpa series, which sees Japanese teenagers placed in a sadistic game where they have to kill to escape a school they've been imprisoned in.

It's a mixture of a visual novel, the investigatory and trials gameplay seen in a Phoenix Wright game, and is extremely stylish - but not for the faint of heart.

Elsewhere, Nobody Saves The World (the latest game from Guacamelee developer Drinkbox Studios) is also available on Xbox Game Pass right now, while later this month Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master - another game which previously wasn't announced for Xbox - is also heading to XGP.

Taiko no Tatsujin is a long-running and beloved Japanese arcade series, which sees players banging a drum controller to the beat of J-Pop tunes, anime theme songs and more.

It's rhtyhm gaming heaven, and if you love games like BeatMania or Rhythm Heaven then it's well worth checking out.

Sadly, the accompanying drum controller hasn't been announced for Xbox yet - but fingers crossed Hori will sort out a release.

Here is the list of new additions to the Xbox Game Pass service...

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Anniversary Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) - Available today

Nobody Saves the World (Cloud, Console, and PC) - Available today

Death’s Door (Cloud, Console, and PC) - January 20

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: Deluxe Edition (PC) – January 20

Windjammers 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) - January 20

Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master (Console and PC) – January 27

The latest Xbox Game Pass news comes on a huge day for Xbox fans, with Microsoft announcing a jaw-dropping deal to acquire Activision Blizzard.

The Call of Duty, Overwatch and Warcraft makers are being acquired for almost $70billion in a deal that far eclipses the sum Microsoft paid to buy Elder Scrolls and Fallout devs Bethesda. nonstop news
