Xbox Game Pass price won't increase after Activision Blizzard acquisition.
Microsoft says Xbox Game Pass price won't increase after Activision Blizzard acquisition.
For how long?
With an increasing number of Microsoft studios and record inflation in many countries around the world, it's probably only a matter of time before Microsoft raises the monthly fee for its Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
However, the company indicated that it won't be anytime soon in an official response to the CMA regarding the Activision Blizzard acquisition. Specifically, Microsoft revealed that the price will not be increased as a result of a possible successful acquisition of the publisher. Indeed, the CMA argued that Microsoft may decide to increase the subscription price with regard to the addition of games such as Call of Duty or Diablo IV to the subscription: "Subscription prices can be easily adjusted, and Microsoft may have an incentive to do so by adding content that is equally popular as content from Activision including CoD.
