128I was wrong about a few hopes and predictions for the Xbox Developer Direct this year and now think we may have something to fear about the future of these particular shows...

The Xbox Developer Direct 2024 was an opportunity to see what Xbox’s roadmap is this year with new looks at Avowed, Hellblade 2, Ara History Untold and even Indiana Jones gameplay as well as deep dives with the developers themselves. It’s truly a beautiful thing that was handled very well on those parts however a significant problem was included in this direct I don’t think should be ignored. If people want to speculate that Xbox is buying Square Enix and this is the first sign of that then sure, but I won’t personally bite that line. So while there are negatives I have with the Developer Direct, there are still positives as well so let’s discuss the question...Was the Xbox Developer Direct good?
