SOMEDAY... THIS WAR'S GONNA END. After the battle of Bradford's Spear, you'd be forgiven for thinking the troops would take some time off - but there's no rest in sight as Menace 1 touches down on another guerilla op. We've watched our fight for survival turn into a campaign of alien genocide. We've made sure every atrocity they've committed on us is paid back in full. We've taken everything they've thrown at us and laughed. After a certain amount of time, this guerrilla war does something to a fighter - some develop a stare that pierces a thousand yards through you, doing what has to be done while longing for the time when it's no longer necessary. Others pick up a taste for the killing, a bloodthirsty hunger for combat that burrows deep into their souls. The rest fall somewhere in between. Where each member of Menace 1 falls on that scale, well, that's yet to be truly seen. But one thing's for certain as we move in on another squad of unprepared aliens - in our own ways, as we reach for the end of this war that feels so close we could touch it, every one of us is WAR WEARY.
