6This is a review of the 2013 Firaxis Xcom Enemy Unknown release.
Over the years I brought every game Microprose ever released but have found Firaxis simply do not understand what made most Microprose games in to classics. Time and time again they remove the very features people loved and replace them with dumped down features that just annoy old fans. Leaving a dumped down game in its place whilst earning an automatic 10 from most reviewers because Sid owns Firaxis.
Well that is not happening here. I am real fan of the original game and what you will see is a real review of this game vs the original game before we look at what this game actually does offer us and what may make you want to buy it.
Firaxis are not getting any kudos for a poor remake here, I will show you what they did right.
