8th of December, 2015:
Making use of their swiftly improving psionic powers, Durand and Draig subverted the will of several alien agents, forcing them to scout, or fight for our squad. If only this control could last it would be a perfect for capturing live alien specimens for Vahlen... but I suppose live captures are a rather moot point at this stage of the war.
Although the squad were able to minimise the amount of combat they were expected to engage in, thanks to the alien 'volunteers', it was little surprise that the Sectopod withstood everything we could throw at it, including a Mechtoid. Still, even though it managed to wing Brandi Bear, she, along with some expert manoeuvring from Draig and Evelynn, as well as a perfectly timed disabling shot from Jonny Mar, the team were able to put the machine down (though not without it dishing out a final bit of damage... a last laugh, as it were)
What remained of the ship's crew fell with typical speed to our re-focused squad's attention.
Now, with our soldiers back at base, I can feel all eyes turning towards the Gollop Chamber...
