2In this part, we fight the third Golden Beast, Mesmer Tlaloc!
I absolutely hate this guy, honestly. Its gimmick is that it can eat orbs that you place on it by using Life Plant, which will give it a TON of its HP back (during this, any attacks that you land on it will also heal it). On top of that, Sweet Juice can inflict the "Doom" status effect on your party members, which immediately KO's them in a few seconds if you don't use a Chain Attack or IV Art. The plus side to Tlaloc is that it has the lowest HP of all of the Golden Beasts, without a doubt. You can approach this fight in multiple ways. You can either just NOT use any Blade Combos and rely on only your Arts (this is recommended only if you're around its level though, or else it'll hit quite hard), or place as many orbs on it as you possibly can and then initiate a Chain Attack when you have around four placed on it. I believe it uses Life Plant less during Elemental Awakening, so that would also be a good time to place orbs on it. Also be careful, as this sucker has REALLY high Break resistance. If you can get at least one Driver Combo going though, the fight will go by much quicker.
