Final phase is ass. Poor chain order = reset
The boss have several AOE attack and each can one-shot the whole team. The party is at the mercy of RNG (Shulk & A's passive evade / Nikol block absorb, Matthew revolt uppercut evade timing or some lucky miss attacks). Glimmer can use burst i-frame but usually end up dead as the Alpha will use Monado cyclone after Monado wedge.

Another tactic is to use Nikol+ shield belt+ steady assault to negate incoming damage. But then he cannot equip devotion necklace to recharge his art. He is asking A to die for her passive arts recharge to kick in. So this method is less reliable but possible to execute.
-He need veneris ring for round 1 50 TP.
-memory locket to revive other party member

wiki classify Alpha as Fogbeast, not machine. Im not sure, lazy to test. ( easily check with that 50 TP manual vs Machine). Eitherway team dps is enough to one shot even with the wrong 100% dmg to type of monster accessory.

So what's the strat?
Devotion necklace + memory locket combo = spam arts ASAP until we reach chain attack. We must kill Alpha in one chain. Failure will lead to Alpha using vision and since we are lv 1, all our attacks will probably miss and there is no way to prevent his buster attack. Even if one of the party member survived, he will follow up with 3 more AOE attacks (Wedge, Dredge and Cyclone).

I give shulk emergency bandana as he comes with a passive that provide 1 time KO prevention. If the whole team went down, at least Shulk will survive and revive others faster. Sometimes Alpha decided to kill Shulk first with autoattack before monado cycle...so yea RNG.

It is possible to control Matthew and give him devotion necklace + memory locket combo for his Revolt evasion. However that will severely reduce his chain damage. Although with perfect order, i believe GigachadRex dps is enough to kill Alpha.

which order we want:
-75 phys reduction
- 150 Cdmg or additional 75% phys reduction
-Recharge chain gauge for extra round.
-Rex 45% phys reduction as final round.

150 cdmg vs additional 75 phys reduction order math thingy....doesn't really matter. Both will settle the job.
