This is just some spare footage from a review I am making of the SquareSoft RPG Xenogears. I haven't been doing the entire challenge No Upgrade, but ever since the second disk and after the reset from getting your Omnigears it's pretty much the same. This is defeating the undefeatable boss in the game.

Everyone has an Evasion Ring and an Ether Doubler on, and Bart has a Trader Card. Everyone is decked out with all Magnetic Coats and Renmazuo has two Power Magics. Most people know this strategy already -- it's all a matter of luck. The real luck is beat Deus before this without FrameHP's, IMHO. After that you have a reasonable chance to beat him unless his first move is kill Billy in one shot.

Bart Wild Smiles (which negates the Evasion Rings but is overall better), then everyone boosts, Fei buffs attack for 20% (Yin power doesn't decrease DEF as it should). Bart gets in a hit when he can with a SonicGWhip to neuter Grahf's Ether, and the rest is chance. The Yin Power definitely helps out, it boosts attack overall by 1200HP per Goten X. When Billy's out of fuel the standard Square Ether attack is enough to finish the job.

In the previous recording I ran out of fuel on all characters and made some stupid mistakes (like giving Billy 2 E-circuits instead for Ether DEF). Two Power Magics and the doubler is enough to max out 9999 damage. Still, stupid Grahf.

Also, given that Bart couldn't do anything unless Andvari went hyper mode, I found it funny he got overkilled, only to dodge the last hit and then die in one combo.
