This giant baby is probably one of the more annoying fights until you get used to how he moves. His front legs are weak but are constantly moving. You can cut off his tail if you're in the right position with a GS but the timing is crucial as it swings it's tail around constantly.

Honestly, I just don't use GS for this fight either. I love my HH more for this fight since it has more vertical range on demand. GS can work but it's a lot more frustrating if you get impatient like me.
