Recorded using CRT-Royale shader with triad mask size of 4 and 600 lines - it's highly recommended putting the video in full-screen mode and watching at 1440p and above to see the full effect.

Co-developed by The Assembly Line and The Bitmap Brothers, and published by Image Works in 1989

The follow-up to the original Xenon is bigger, brighter and bolder in just about every way. Mark Coleman would lend his artistic talents to the project, having not long joined the studio, and the collaboration with Tim Simenon on the soundtrack resulted in a game that looked and sounded phenomenal.

As for the gameplay, it would have been at the forefront of Amiga shooters when first released, although games like Battle Squadron would deliver a more authentic arcade experience and better controls.

Even so, it's still one of the best-looking games on the system, and continues to hold a special place in many gamers hearts.
