Today I want to compare two 2-in-1 tablets or laptops, that is Xiaomi Book S 12.4 vs Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 (2022). Let's compare their features and characteristics together and find out who is better than them.
Xiaomi has officially unveiled a tablet called Xiaomi Book S 12.4 based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 and running Windows.
Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is equipped with a 12.4-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, peak brightness of 500 cd/m2, 100% DCI-P3 color space coverage, Gorilla Glass 5 glass.
The novelty is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 chip. There is 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB of flash memory, a microSD card slot up to 512 GB, a 38.08 Wh battery with support for 65 W fast charging.
Xiaomi Book S 12.4 is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera, a 13-megapixel main camera, a USB-C port, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters. Manages the new Windows 11 OS.
Xiaomi Book S 12.4 was priced at 700 euros. Sales in Europe began on June 21. The tablet, together with the keyboard case, was priced at 800 euros. Buyers who purchase the device before June 20 will receive Redmi Buds 3 Pro as a gift.
The Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 for 2022 is a big departure from previous iterations, switching to a tablet form factor from the convertible design of the past. With that change also come a few others, including a 13-inch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, and the thinnest chassis yet for the XPS family. But considering that the XPS family usually doesn’t have a ton of ports, what does that mean for this new device? Does the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 still have Thunderbolt ports? Yes, and that’s about it.
Indeed, two Thunderbolt 4 ports are all you get built into the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1. There’s not even a headphone jack on this chassis, the newest sacrifice Dell is making in its flagship laptops. The clamshell model of the XPS 13 and the new XPS 13 Plus have also ditched this port, and instead you get adapters for both USB Type-A and the 3.5mm headphone jack if you need those ports. This is a device that’s more reliant than ever on adapters, and that’s why Thunderbolt support is so important.
