The Xiaomi Mi4 is powered by a snapdragon 801 chip that houses 4 krait 400 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz each coupled with an adreno 330 GPU and 3 GB RAM, on the other hand the Mi4i is powered by a the 2nd gen. Snapdragon 615 chipset that houses 2 sets of Cortex A53 cores - 4 clocked at 1.7 GHz and another 4 clocked at 1.1 GHz each coupled with an Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB RAM.

Both phones have 16GB of internal storage available with no room for memory expansion via Micro SD. Xiaomi offers a 64 GB variant of the Mi4 though.
