When compared with Nexus 5 (16GB), Both phones performed exactly same or in some cases MI 3 or in some cases Nexus 5 was better ! But when it comes to camera and battery.. MI3 is bettteeerrr !!

All the battery stats are on medium or heavy usage !

***************MIUI 6 is also GREAT !*****************

It's always good to have option ! and this option is not at all a bad choice !
