xQc vs. Forsen: How Minecraft Speedrunning Took Over Twitch
It’s starting to feel a lot like 2010 on Twitch, and it’s all thanks to the resurgence of one of the most popular games of all time—Minecraft.
But there’s a catch. A lot of these Twitch streamers aren’t playing it as you remember. They’re not starting a world to explore, build, and survive, or enjoying the game at a nice leisurely pace.
No, in fact, they’re doing the complete opposite. They’re trying to rip through a game that was never supposed to end — as fast as f***ing possible.
After being inspired by the likes of Dream and Georgenotfound, Forsen made it his goal to become a Minecraft speedrunner.
Soon, xQc, Clint Stevens, Mizkif and Simply also caught the speedrunning bug.
For weeks they battled it out to see who will come out on top of this all-out Minecraft war.
