This is an incredibly early look at gameplay of my upcoming strategy game Y2K:BATTLE FOR EARTH that I am developing in my spare time since March 2023 using Unity engine.

In this game you'll take a role of military leader of a small island nation. Having all military and civilian resources at your disposal, you will be tasked with defending this nation from a series of disasters right from a campy science-fiction movie from the 60's - hybrid humans from the depths of the ocean, aliens, kaijus, zombies, self replicating nanobots, the list goes on. You will have to protect the population during the entire year of 1999, until the United Nations deploys its remedy from these disasters in the first day of the titular Y2K... Unless the millennium bug crashes every computer on the planet!

During each playthrough the map and set of disasters are randomized, so no two games are the same. Beside giving orders to your military units, you'll manage electric grid, food and materials supply, taxes, research and even civilian evacuations.

Do keep in mind that what you currently see is a very early prototype. Almost everything is a subject to change. This is more to show a vertical slice of the gameplay.
