2In this episode, we finish up with Ginji, the Sushi Gin chef. This is why we caught some fish in the last episode. You just need four fish to push his friendship up to 90% which will trigger a scene, returning to the shop then triggers the last scene and boosts it the rest of the way to maximum values. While nothing comes of befriending him just yet... But it will in a later chapter, just like all our other friendships thus far.
Kiryu heads off to the building he was told about and sees that there is just one more tenant remaining. The Tachibana Real Estate group has really been doing a number on businesses, huh? Once in, he talks to the owner, but their talk gets cut short when some people on the payroll of Tachibana come in and offer the man money to leave...
This episode, along with some early ones, show the main underlying topic of this game's setting. That being greed. That's something that the Yakuza series does well. Each one has a key component driving the story. Whether it be greed, like in this one, or following one's dreams, like in Yakuza 5.
This game just doesn't want me fighting Mr. Shakedown, I guess. Was right in his face this time and instead, a fight with Men in Black happened. It wouldn't have been a problem, but when you get in a fight, it despawns any nearby enemies and resets the map. Ah well, hunted him down after the episode, so... Extra footage, I guess. Damn, though. Dude bought a mountain to train so he could get stronger. Hah.
